Didn't have a clue what I was doing with my life when I graduated from UW-Madison in
December 2004. That uncertainty can be really stressful, so when my boy Chris called me up
about moving to Vail, I jumped at it. Worked up at Midvail, preparing and serving food for
people. Glamorous work, I know, but it did get me a free season pass and a ton of free food.
Anyway, my experience that winter was awesome. Slept on the couch for 3 months straight, but it
didn't matter; all part of keeping it real man. The culture out their is just so cool. The type of
people who become ski bums are generally pretty cool. Stress-free life if their ever was one.
The more I think about it the more I miss it. Everyone should do it.
