After the European Adventure the previous fall, I worked for a few months at home and then
moved to Prague. I had learned in my travels that I could become an English teacher virtually
anywhere in the world, and that all I needed to do was take a 1-month TEFL course. The idea of
my life turning in a direction of more worldly adventures was appealing, and I have always
enjoyed working with kids. So I found a course that looked good in Prague, signed up for it, and
in February 2006, I embarked on the next chapter of my life.
Moved into a dump that wasn't particularly cheap (Prague didn't turn out to be nearly as
inexpensive as I had heard). No matter though, I enjoyed my TEFL course and learned a great
deal during it. Also, wandering around Prague is really nice, looking at the beautiful architecture
that is constantly surrounding you. I ended up staying here for about 3 months altogether. I was
ready to leave by the end of it (due to a bleeding bank account and a run in with the postal
service), but I'm glad I was able to spend a descent chunk of time in this beautiful city.

Just stand in the Old Square and look around. You will see all of these things.

The cobblestone streets are quite charming.

You can catch a pretty darn good view from up by the castle.

They've got the funny guard guys who can't move.
