Jackie and I stayed in a less than elegant place the first night we got to Kanchanaburi.  Jackie
was a good sport about it, though I knew she would have preferred something nicer.  So the next
day, we threw any semblance of a budget out the window and found the nicest place in
Kanchanaburi.  The Felix has outstanding grounds, and is actually not nearly as pricey as it could
be.  About $60/night to stay right on the river with a view of the famous bridge.  The resort
covers a huge area and is surrounded by water and greenery.  We have since returned, and it will
continue to be our place to stay whenever in Kanchanaburi.  I highly recommend it.
Gotta keep my eye on this guy.
This delightful river path was literally 5 meters from our back patio.  Very peaceful.
They have the pool nicely tucked in.
Fountains and streams are all around.
The walkways are outstanding.
The girls are cute too.
We got ourselves a motorbike to cruise the area with absolute freedom.  Yah, I know a scooter is
seen as less than manly, but they are very popular in Thailand, and I for one enjoy the ride.
So screw you guys, I'm goin' home.
Saw some bony cows.
