Graham going for a profound pose at DIA.
I give it a B-.
Just as beggars can't be choosers,
snowboard mooches sometimes need to
change bindings.
When I lived at Vail a few years back I
worked at Midvail.  It was glamorous work.
Vail

In the two days prior to our arrival in Colorado, Vail got 24" of fresh snow.  I was totally stoked
to ride after being off my board for almost 3 years.  That's right, Nottamoocho Rideage.  To get
this much fresh pow was a total blessing.  Well, not for the people on Vail Pass who were in the 70
car pile-up the night before, but as the saying goes, 'One man's trash is another man's treasure'.
The bro and I left Madison and headed for a week in Colorado.  We stayed with my friend Worth
up at his place in Breck.  I'd talked up Colorado to Graham quite a bit so I was hoping it would
come through for me.  First thing that happened was that the airport lost both of our bags.  Great
start.  But really, setting the bar low initially makes it easy to jump over.  You can only go up.
That's why people always find me so obnoxious initially, because then it's easy for me to impress
them later.  Screw making good first impressions.  I'm going on record and advocating
for the
exact opposite.  It's kinda like those weight loss shows.  Obviously the fattest guy has an
advantage in that he has the most weight to lose.  Skinny dude's don't have a chance.  If there are
flaws in this argument, I certainly can't see them.
It's like someone kept the massive dumping a secret.  No lift lines.  Fresh tracks to be found
everywhere.  It was like Willy Wonka's factory with snow.
Graham embracing the snow.
