Luang Prabang, Laos
The three of us flew into Luang Prabang, Laos and immediately we realized that we didn't have
enough money for all our visas and they didn't accept credit card and there was no atm.
Fortunately Adam befriended a fellow member of the tribe, from Israel no less, who loaned him
the cash.  Of course, Adam did have to earn that money, if you know what I mean.

Luang Prabang is awesome.  Laotian people are so laid back, and after being bum-rushed in
Cambodia and Vietnam, it was nice dealing with some people who weren't so 'in your face'.  One
image that resonates in my mind is walking through their night market.  Over a hundred people,
yet there was silence.  No one trying to force-feed you anything.  Everyone speaking in whispers.
Lovely.
Adam quickly picked up a girl from down under.
I love the water, especially when it's falling.
Girl from a local village.  She showed us around her place.  Quaint, to say the least.
Songkron is a Buddhist holiday that involves
throwing water at anything that moves.
Lasts 4-5 days, and it's a hella good party.
While Adam went off with his bird, Chris and I went on an awesome trek about 3 hours north of
Luang Prabang.  Well off the beaten path.  The trek was 3 days long and we stayed in villages
both nights.  We biked, we kayaked, we hiked.  It was amazing seeing the way people up there live
and to see the beautiful scenery.  This trek was the highlight of the whole trip for me.
