Objective
This project started out as a way to help me remember things that I read (if you’d killed brain cells at the rate I
have you might need a little extra help too). I began hi-lighting books, taking notes, organizing information,
typing, and then doing it all over again. Though all of this might seem like an enormous waste of time, it has
allowed me to immerse myself in the books I have read. As I have done this, I have been forced to actively
think about the presented information and the intended messages, as opposed to simply absorbing it. New
thoughts began to spark inside my own head, which have become more frequent as this project has
progressed. I have attempted to explore and formulate these thoughts. This is where the title, Inspiration,
comes from. The immersion in the thoughts of others has allowed me to internally develop my own mind.
In this project, my focus is on an overall understanding of the world. I have looked at it on the physical level, on
a societal level, and on a psychological level. These different levels are all intertwined, and really to
understand the world, I felt it necessary to look at them all. As I have added more and more to Inspiration, and
spent hundreds of hours working on it, I have had a growing sense of empowerment. I truly believe that I can
help change the world, and that is what I intend to do. My driving force is simply an instilled desire to make a
positive difference, and along with a sense of fairness as my guide, I proceed forward with the knowledge that I
am only capable of being true to what I feel is right and attempting to be strong enough to act on that feeling.
The deeper I go with this all-encompassing world objective, all other ventures in this life to me seem more and
more superficial and pointless. I intend to continue my development of Inspiration as I progress through my
life. This has been an extremely useful tool for me and I have developed an almost religious obsession towards
it. If you are reading this, I hope you too can be inspired to think for yourself about who you really are and what
it is you wish to do with your endless opportunities. Embrace your life, because this is the only one you’ve got.
Don’t let it go to waste simply because you never sat down and did a little critical self-examination. My mission
with Inspiration is to empower my mind, and if it can help anyone else to do the same, then I am pleased.
